Short Press-On Nails

Short press-on nails sit at or just past the fingertip, so you can type, open cans and pick up a coin without thinking about them. Soft Blush and Creamy Latte are built short; Barely There and Rose Satin Glow are the two medium almonds that file to short in a minute with the file in the box. All have 32 nails in 16 sizes and both adhesives.

Who short press-ons are for

Anyone who works with their hands, types all day, has a dress code, or simply does not like the feel of length. A short press-on also lasts longer in practice because there is less leverage on the tip, so it lifts less when you knock it. Soft Blush is a short squoval French; Creamy Latte is a short milky nude, the clean-girl manicure.

Making a medium set short

Any almond set in the range can be filed to short with the file in the box: file the tip straight across, then round the corners. Width is what matters for fit, so size as normal and only shorten after. Barely There and Rose Satin Glow both file down cleanly.

Wear and removal

10 to 14 days on tabs, 2 to 3 weeks on glue. Short sets are the easiest to reuse: fewer knocks, cleaner edges. Soak in warm water and lift from the sides with the cuticle stick; the removal guide covers it.
